I feel so grateful that I'm able to live my dream life as a working photographer. It gives me the freedom that I crave and it makes me feel so artistically fulfilled. There's nowhere else I'd rather be than making someone feel amazing in front of my camera or telling someone's story.

I lived in New York City for 9 years before relocating to San Diego in 2017. I earned a dual bachelor's degree in Photography and Fine Art & have been photographing professionally since. Aside from portraits & weddings, I am also a working professional food and product photographer (if you wanna get hungry - check out my other work here!)

My little rescue dachshund, Dexter (or Wubby as he's known in my house!) is the love of my life & I'm so lucky that I get to spend so much time with him since a lot of my work is done from home!

When I'm not using my camera as an extra limb, you can find me stuffing my face with vegan snacks, olympic weightlifting in my garage, pretending I know what I'm doing in jiujitsu, snuggling up with my dog & a book in bed by 9 pm, or Facetiming with my amazing Italian grandmother (seriously, she is a living, breathing angel!)

I love stand-up comedy, crime documentaries & trying to convince everyone around me that they haven't lived unless they've eaten a New York City bagel (don't even get me started on the pizza here, ugh!)

My Why

I had just sent off a gallery from an elopement, and within an hour or so, I received a text from the groom. It said:
"You took the first photos that Rocky has liked of herself in legit YEARS. I can't thank you enough."
It had taken me years to figure it out, but that was it. That moment was my "why."

I knew the feeling of feeling awkward, embarrassed, or even scared to look in the mirror. I struggled with disordered eating and body dysmorphia as a teenager and HATED having my photo taken. Through self-portraiture, I quickly learned how one photo capturing my true self could make me feel incredible. I made it my mission to help my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, & also to feel amazing in their photos.

I take a more candid, documentary approach to my photography. I will absolutely coach you through your session & on your wedding day, but mostly just to set the moment and let it unfold naturally. I capture natural interactions and authentic emotion & that's why my clients love their photos - there's nothing fake or forced about them.

I'm so grateful to those who have trusted me to capture their most important moments or to represent them as individuals, ya girl feels lucky AF on the daily!
